The Smith & Wesson® M&P® 9 Pro Series is an ultra-reliable, striker-fired, semi-auto pistol that's simple to operate and maintain, with enhanced features for self-defense and competition shooting. The M&P Pro comes with an improved trigger pull that's smooth and relatively light. The rear sight is an all-steel Novak®, with the rear surface slightly angled to prevent glare; the front sight is fiber optic. The sight combination works extremely well, providing a good sight picture on the target range, and also works well in dim lighting conditions where many self-defense situations occur. The 5" barrel increases the slide length and the sight radius for enhanced accuracy potential. Barrel-to-slide and slide-to-frame fit on the Pro Series is extremely tight. The grip angle and a low-slide profile on the M&P semi-automatic pistol make it a natural pointer and quite controllable when firing rapid shots by reducing muzzle rise. The M&P 9 Pro Series Semi-Auto Pistol has a polymer frame that comes with 3 interchangeable palm-swell panels to accommodate the hands of virtually any shooter. The panels are easy to change without the use of tools. The frame has an integral accessory rail in front of the trigger guard for the attachment of aftermarket sights or lights. The stainless steel slide has a durable, black Armornite® finish and rear cocking serrations; the slide rides on a stainless steel chassis within the polymer frame. The M&P has a slide release lever on both sides of the frame, and the magazine release is reversible. All M&P pistols disassemble easily without the need of tools. Ships with 2 magazines.
