The Winchester Model 1400 is a 12 gauge, semi-automatic shotgun. It was produced from 1964 to 1968 and again from 1968 to 1973. The 1400 is 49 inches long, weighs 7.5 pounds, and has a barrel length of 28 inches. It has a capacity of 3+1 rounds, or 2+1 with 3½" shells. 
Some say the 1400 has a lack of perceived recoil, shoots faster than other guns, and stays straight. Others say it's ammo picky, requires cleaning, and has a double recoil.
